Yuki Hasegawa

Originally from Japan, Yuki Hasegawa moved to Canada to discover new opportunities. She spent several years living in Banff before coming to Calgary. In Banff Yuki volunteered in many roles and worked in Customer Service. She has a degree in English Literature however her ultimate career aspiration is to own her own business as a dog trainer. Yuki keeps busy with her current job, volunteering and taking entrepreneurial courses.

In her youth, Yuki had several family dogs back in Japan who suffered from behavioural issues such as serious aggression and lack of social skills. The struggles she and her family had, along with compassion and true longing for betterment of the relationships with her dogs was the root of her passion to become a dog trainer.

After she became a permanent resident in Canada in 2011, she travelled to Germany and joined a training program for certified dog trainer at Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK, equivalent of Chamber of Commerce) in Potsdam. She came back to Canada in 2013 with the certificate from IHK, and was ready to start her own business, working as a dog trainer. She then went on to found her dog training business, Happy Furry Tail in 2018.

Yuki sees real estate investing as another step along her entrepreneurial journey and was drawn to this particular investment vehicle by its ability to generate passive cash flow while she can focus on pursuing her true passion of enriching lives as a dog trainer.

In addition to real estate and dog training, Yuki also volunteers at the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) as a way to give back to the organization that has given her so much.

Don’t be fooled by Yuki’s gentle personality as she exudes professionalism, is a dependable and proficient problem solver, and will go above and beyond for her friends and clients.
